Sources & calculation rules

The numbers follow a published method. Your flower recipes, supplier pack sizes and prices remain your inputs.

Calculation contract

  1. For each shared variety, sum stems per arrangement multiplied by arrangement count.
  2. Multiply that sum by the chosen integer contingency percentage, then round the reserve up to a whole stem.
  3. Subtract usable stock from recipe stems plus reserve. Clamp net need at zero.
  4. For each supplier, divide net need by its pack size and round up to a whole pack.
  5. Purchased stems equal packs times pack size. Pack surplus equals purchased stems minus net need.
  6. Round an entered two-decimal price to integer minor units, multiply by packs and sum the variety subtotals. No delivery, tax, labour, supplies or exchange conversion is included.

The ceiling operations are applied per variety, after combining recipes. IDs preserve shared variety identity; names alone do not merge rows. A plan can contain 100 varieties and 50 arrangements with up to 100 recipe lines each. Each variety is limited to 1,000,000 recipe stems.
